The Liberation of Nappy with spoken word by various artist
There's nothing more expressive than your own personal Black hair experience. At the Nappywood™ Experience Oracle Jayne Doe performs both version of the dancable, gospel and funky EDM groove, "My Nappy ROOTS" Spoken word by The Oracle, music written and produced by Wendell of Global Tribe Music. The evening event was held at 50 North Shirlena Allen Salon with the film's associate producer, celebrity hair stylist and gracious host Shirlena Allen.
The Oracle performed several cuts from the MNR Soundtrack, popular jazz artist, Everett Turner of Muziki of Los Angeles blew some advant garde trumpet with some of the spoken word artists. The short :22 minute version of the My Nappy ROOTS film played on the multiple screens around the salon, Sally's Beauty gifted everyone with full size products. It was a wonderful culture filled experience. I think we'll do another one. Reason to get on our mailing list.
